Bought a copy of The illustrated Ape when I was in London town. A UK magazine published 3 times a year, with some stories, and poems by readers. This month the illustrations are done by Julie Verhoeven and they are amazingly beautiful. They have inspired me to pick up my ink pen again and attempt to perfect some kind of art this summer. If computers haven't appeared on the scheme, no doubt I would by now acquired some sort of ink drawing skills instead of just being able to double-click with my mouse! Another good thing that will come of this 'learn to draw' mission is that I will actually use my eyes and look around me! I feel so uninspired lately, I think its time for me to look at the world more carefully and re-discover the richness of it all!

well, that's the plan anyway! :)

I like the smell of BBQ more than I like the food.

Went to see the new star wars movie, and actually really liked it! Despite the cheesy dialogues and bad acting (though I largely believe that's the scripts fault, as we all know Natalie is a very capable actress! *nod nod*). The architecture and the costumes were both amazing, and like everyone I left the cinema wanting to become a Jedi with a lightsaber (hmmm I wonder if it's available in pink??)

Now I am sitting in the studio attempting to work on a sunny, 27 degrees day. :( It's just not happening! I have 10 days till my final crit and I am still lacking a properly designed building. I can't wait to finish! My legs are dying for some much needed sunshine and my brain needs to think non-architectural thoughts ( I can't even day dream about Seth, as The OC is not on TV for 2 weeks)! :)

Got new glasses yesterday, my attempt to make the critics believe I know what I am talking about in crits, and to look like some serious designer! :) oh and to make my eye less lazy!

Having owned an iPod for over a year, today was the first time I actually purchased a song from iTunes! Ok, admittedly I didn't 'buy' the song, I won it when I went to the apple store the day they released tiger. Nevertheless the song purchase was so easy, and fast and you get the album cover straight away...I am now tempted to actually 'buy' songs! Yes I know...that's exactly why they give songs away in the first place! Suck you in......
