Sorry .... this holiday laziness has got the better of me and my dissertation!

I am now back in London village, and am currently flat-sitting for Raphael while he's off to enjoy the sunshine in Greece.

I have had my dose of sunshine this year. The Kenting trip with my cousin Mimi and her friends was sooo fun. Though it was upsetting to see some boys having thinner waist than me! I mean that just isn't right!!





When I arrived in London after my holiday I really felt like I was arriving home...the familiarity was comforting and welcoming. When I was in Taiwan, I constantly looked for things I remember from when I was young and buildings I recognize from over 10 years ago, I guess as a way to make myself belong. Then every time I saw a Caucasian wondering round in Taiwan, I felt the urge to go and talk to them as I could relate to them better than I could relate to any Asians around, and could talk to them in a far more confident and relaxed way. No, I am determined to not lose my Asian qualities, but its hard..... I mean in my phone book, Caucasians out number Asians by something like 10:1! No, I have never deliberately ignored anyone, but it just so happens most people i meet are non-Asian.
