Happy Chinese New Year! The year of the Rooster!

Happy Chinese New Year! I know I am a day late, but better late than never. I spent yesterday sitting through a rammed earth conference, very interesting, but left me feeling exhausted. Celebrated the new year by getting Chinese takeaway with housemates. I don't really feel the 'joy' anymore, as the new year is all about getting together with families and mine is thousands of miles away. This time of the year use to be so exciting when I was little, it meant we had days off school, was allowed to stay up late, all the yummy food/snack we could eat, setting of fire works in the park, and of course, all the red pockets! Things are just much better when you are young.....
