I lost my devilchan18 AOL account when I ended my internet connection with them, as a result I lost my old buddy list with lots of contacts on it! There are just certain times in life that you need someone there to hold your hands, give you hugs and just generally be there. I guess very good girl friends can do that, but the intimacy that you share with the opposite sex means it’s easier to relax, speak your mind, and not worry what the other person will think. When you are married your husband provides the invisible support better than any girl friends, just simply by being there, and I guess they also become your best friend. My mother is really feeling the strain because my dad has moved to the countryside. My mum is still doing all the things that she did before, but without my dad everything just seems that much harder. She’s often in the big flat by herself, and she has no one to just talk to. Sure, she has very good girl friends, but you can’t just pick up the phone and spill all your problems out because there isn’t much they can do. I am just really worried about her and I am not the only one. Mum is already way too thin and the stress is just wearing her away. I wish I can be at home to look after her, or have the money to take her away on a nice relaxing holiday. I just can’t stop worrying about her…I know there are other members of the family helping to look after her, but I really want to be there.

Just spoke to my mother…..shit has hit the fan………

I really want to say whatever I want on my blog as it is like my personal diary, but incidents like these really make me think twice about what I blog. All you bloggers out there......be careful!

Watched the film a guy thing' last night starring the oh so good looking Jason Lee! The film was about the main character played by Jason accidentally sleeping with someone at his stag-do and trying to cover up all evidence afterwards. The film was very silly and funny with loads of comedy lines, including the line........Engagement ring......Wedding ring.....suffe-ring!'... Which was directed at the groom at his stag night.

I am in London at the moment to try and get visa to go to Greece at Christmas! Of course everything is not going very smoothly, they seem to have messed up the appointment thing which means I might have to come back another day! How annoying! I am fed up with all these visa crap! I spent yesterday trying to get through to the embassy so I can talk to a person instead of machines, but nothing seems to be working!!!! (that's the Greeks for you ;) )

This morning I received a phone call which is going to impact the next couple of years of my life dramatically.....on a selfish level I am hoping things will work out so the next two years of my life wont be so hard, but after all that's happened recently I have always had the feeling that my life is about to take a dramatic turn. 23 is like THE big turning point in my life. Well, whatever happens, good or bad, I will learn from it and move forwards and upwards. Nothing can beat me if I stay positive right?

The weather in England sucks so much at the moment.....It just rains and rains. People have predicted that this year England will have one of its worst winters. Wow...isn't that something to look forward to.

I kinda didn't expect this birthday to go that well, as I am all lonely...BUT it has turned out to be such a nice birthday!

the day started with a little parcel from someone which contained little moomin gifts, a compilation CD and a very special birthday card! The birthday card is soooo special people can visit it if they ever go to Stockholm! Yes, it was done just for me!



Then a bunch of flowers arrived at the office for me!! It was soooo unexpected, and soooo nice. I thought things like that only happen to other people...But noooo it happens to me too! So thank you Tom!



Then in the evenings I went to London, and visited Raphael for the weekend. He treated me to a lovely dinner at the Hilton in Park Lane, and the world's most yummy chocolate fudge cake arrived at the table for me after our dessert!



so I had a very good birthday and actually days before it my new DVD player was delivered thanks to Orestes so now I can watch ALL my S&TC DVDs!!! and I got more gift coming from him soon in the post toooooo! :) Erik also bought me this lovely crystal with those funky laser images inside!......oh and did I mention I got a spanking new digital camera? It's a replacement / present from Raphael, because the stupid head pushed me into the pool in Milos with my camera still in the bag that I was holding!

I am spoilt....I know...... :)

since I have been back from Greece, I have been working at this architects practice that I have worked at before for my 3 months placement. The work I am doing now is not particularly inspiring, but yesterday's I got to go on a very educational site visit! I went there with 2 architects from the office and met one of the sub-contractors there for an 'informal' look around. I saw this as an opportunity to ask as many queries I have as possible regarding the site, details and anything that comes to mind that was architecturally related. Both architects were very patient and explained everything that I wanted to know. So now I know all about flat roof (correction) details etc, etc. The visit has also made me think that maybe architecture is NOT that bad a route to go down.

Alex from the office managed to pass his part 3 exam, but not without breaking into massive sweat! He was asked to draw his favourite building AND he had to draw detail of a pitched timber roof, meeting a cavity brick wall! yikes! I would hate to draw under pressure like that!!!

Went to see the new romantic comedy Wimbledon! It's cheesy, predictable, but it was a nice movie nonetheless and did make me laugh out loud few times.....also Paul Bettany is sooo yummy! Now.....where did I put my tennis racket?

Just saw Hero and it's awsome! The colours are just amazing! They obviously played a big part in the movie helping to clarify betweem the stories, but it just completes the look so well and make the stories very dream like. Though the main idea about conquering the whole China to bring peace is just a bit dodgy....perhaps president Bush can consider this as his next presidential campaign video!

Oh, and Maggie Cheung is way prettier than Zhang Ziyi!!
