Went to see the latest ‘in’ movie Bridget Jones Diary 2, and have to say I was not that impressed. Luckily ITV decided to show BJ1 the Sat before, so my memory was refreshed and was able to get some of the jokes/lines that were followed on in the second movie. It is a sweet film nonetheless, and not disgustingly soppy. Renee did a fine job in this movie and I think she is now definitely one of my favourite actresses.

The film that was shot in Bath last year…Vanity fair…will be screening in the cinemas near you (in the UK) on 17th of Jan. It has already been screened in the US, but didn’t get very good reviews…but that wont stop us going to see Bath on the big screen. The big scene in the film that we should all recognise in the movie, is when Becky Sharp (Reese Witherspoon) first arrive in London and sees a big house at the end of this busy road (the road is Great Pulteney street, and the big house is the Holburne museum). Becky thinks she’s going to live in the big house, until the horse carriage that takes her turns and stops in front of the house she’s really staying at (the house is in Sydney place).
