Last night I went to mine first office party, as the office I worked at this summer (David Kent Architects) has kindly invited me back to join them. It was a very jolly affair and we even managed to get one of the directors on the dance floor at the Fez club! We all got a gift from secret Santa and who ever the Santa was must think I am an evil woman, coz I got a voodoo kit! So you guys better not get on the wrong side of me from now on.

I am very sorry that this blog thing so far seems to lack images. It will all change soon..When I get my hands on a new small digital camera! Meanwhile just be patient! I will be leaving to go to Sweden on Monday, so I will update this after I get back on the 31st. Merry Christmas to everyone and wish you all a very happy new year!

Went to see the 'action-transvestite' Eddie Izzard last night at Cardiff international arena, and loved every minute of it. It was the first time I have been to a stand-up of this scale, and thoroughly enjoyed it...in fact I believe at one point I was in tears and if the seats isles were wider I would have definitely have fallen to the ground..holding my stomach..Laughing! The set had a lot of his usual witty comments and points where he drifts off completely, but he also made a lot more silly jokes and funny noises. So...catch him on this tour if you can...if not..then add the video to your Christmas list! It's a MUST!

If you still can't feel that 'Christmas is all around you'....Then go and see the film love actually. It is a fantastic movie and definitely gets you into the mood for a bit of romance! Its a chick flick...But all the guys enjoy it as well...It's like 5 romantic movies put together with just the high-lights.... Any single, romantic guys out there?

well, the Christmas holiday has truely started...in style! Went out with all the architects last night and got absolutely wasted...don't let me see another double vodka and coke!

Last day of uni this year. hhuuurrraaayyy! I have just handed in my detail and now I am free!!!

I have somehow managed to mess up the comment box for the 9th of December....Fab left a message and I have managed to erase it....SORRY! I am not great with computers. Well...I think his comment went something like this,

" who is the expert then? And the comment thing looks familiar."

my answer would be........the expert is obviously Orestes (HTML tutor), and the comment thing looks familiar is because it's a standard thing from enetation...again, I simply just changed some colours from the template I chose. As simple as that!

Laura and I have slaved over this for the past 10 days! This is a 1:1 detail of the swimming pool we have designed for our big Basil Spence project. The detail is showing a small section of the timber gridshell, with a spider we have designed to support our glazing panels, sedum roof and the gutter. wooohooo...less than 24 hrs till the end of term....Basil Spence is nearly OVER!!!

I just love this time of the year. Not only you get the cool, crisp air and the gorgeous lights in town..You also get to eat lots without feeling too guilty!!! So far I have managed two Christmas dinners, one cooked by Sally-Jane (one of my housemates) and the other with all the fellow architects in my year. Bring on more turkey and cranberry sauce I say....Just cant get enough of the stuff!

The titles for my impossible essays are as follow,

1. Critically review the Egan report, and through the eyes of the Architeture, assess the implications of the 'rethinking construction agenda' for the future of the construction industry.

2. Is modernism assisting entropy? (looking particularly at China)

If you can actually understand the questions and know where to start...then you are already about 10 steps ahead of me.............HELP!

I think I have exhausted all my html skills, which only goes as far as changing colour, font and adding links (I did listen in my html lectures....honest). So I guess this is how it will have to stay before I consult the expert.


The end of term is nearly here already, which is very scary! Within my 3 weeks off I have to complete two 3000 word essays (on topics that I have noooo clues about), as well as thinking about my big project next year and dissertation.... All of which has to be done between stuffing my face with Swedish food and hopefully having my first white Christmas! Its going to be a very busy holiday!
